Tasting notes
Fine pale gold colour
Complex nose, considerable minerality expressed in flinty notes.
In the mouth, mineral tension is intense with aromatic purity well to the fore.
Very long finish in the mouth leaves a persistent freshness.
Best drunk at 5-10 years.

Quaternary limestone-clay soil (marls and marly limestone of the Middle Oxfordian).

Vinification
Direct pressing, gentle settling, alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in oak barrels (25% new, 50% 1 year old, 25% 2 years old).
18 months' elevage in barrel.
Racking and light filtration before bottling.
No finings.
