Tasting notes
Fine deep ruby colour with bluish highlights.
The nose evokes red-fruit aromas and well-ripened cherries.
In the mouth the wine is dense and highly-bred. Supple tannins presage 8 to 10 years' laying down.

Vinification
Crop sorted on sorting table.
100% de-stemming before vatting. Maceration in open wood vats with cap-punching twice daily and one pumping-over.
Vatting lasts 14 days, followed by pressing into barrels. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel.
After 15 months' elevage in barrels, racking, light filtration with Kieselguhr and then bottling.
No finings.
