Vines in flower

The first flowers appeared on the domaine on May 31st in our parcel of Saint-Véran Le Grand Bussière. The other parcels duly followed but flowering was staggered over as much as three weeks in some plots, and in the end flowering dates overall lagged a little behind a normal year.

Following a dry winter, bud-burst occurred at the normal time, starting on April 10th. April was rainy, but the weather in May was fine until the 25th. First plowings took place under favourable conditions.

Rain in early June, together with rather low temperatures, meant that growth was somewhat irregular and led to outbreaks of mildew, which, for the present, have been brought under control.
